
Teacher innovator Institute
In 2023, I was selected for the TII Cohort, chosen as 1 of 30 educators out of 200+ applicants. I traveled to Washington, D.C. for two consecutive summers to participate in an intensive two-week professional development program, and in my third summer, I returned as a presenter, sharing strategies and outcomes from my work.

Portfolio
Every teacher who gets to go to TII must create a porfolio of work. My project over two years was based on ham radio, girls in STEM, and space education. I was particularly interested in the concept of underrepresentive communities in STEM. I worked on this by working closely with my co-worker
Teacher Exchange

A friend I made at TII my first summer and I won a teacher exchange in the fall of 2024-2025. Our exchange was us going to Massachusetts, Oklahoma, Utah, and Washington DC to present our lessons to students and educators about ham radio and the impact of Native American cultures.
